Hello!  My name is Amber Anderson and I am excited to serve in the role of instructional coach at Lillington-Shawtown Elementary.  This is my 23rd year as an educator in Harnett County Schools, with 20 of those spent as a classroom teacher.  I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and Reading Recovery with 1st grade students.  I am a native of Harnett County and a product of Harnett County Schools.  I have a lot of pride in the education that I received in Harnett County, and I work hard to provide that same educational experience for today's students.  As an instructional coach, I work alongside teachers providing support and staff development.  We work together to ensure that we are using the best research-based strategies to increase both teacher capacity and student achievement.  

On a personal note, I have five children (2 girls and 3 boys) who are the light of my life.  My husband, Jesse, and I stay very busy with our jobs and our kids' activities, but we wouldn't have it any other way!  Our family loves to camp, fish, spend the day on our boat, participate in many sports, and travel as much as we can when we are away from school.
