Hello everyone. My name is Riley Wood. It is my fourth year teaching and second year teaching self-contained as well as being the EC Lead here at Anderson Creek Primary. A little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, where I attended and graduated from Southern Durham High school. From there, I went on to work my way through college working in early childhood centers. I graduated from the University of Mount Olive with a Bachelor's in Early childhood early childhood through kindergarten education. I then attended East Carolina university for my special education classes and qualifications. Since I was a young child I have always wanted to teach and be a special education teacher. I am honored that I get to live my dream and teach our wonderful students. A little about me. I enjoy spending time with my family. I have been married to my husband for five years this October and we have a 3-year-old son who we keep very busy. I am a avid NCAA basketball and football fan. I bleed Duke Blue and Purple and Gold! I am a avid coffee drinker. You will always see me with a mug or cup of coffee in the morning! Again I am so thankful to work with your students this year and if you all need anything please feel free to reach out by phone or email so I can best support your students.
