Hi! Thank you for visiting my web page. I am so excited to be teaching 8th grade science this year at Overhills! My family and I are new to North Carolina as we are newly stationed at Fort Bragg. Before moving to North Carolina I taught science in Texas for eleven years. I have taught every grade from 5th to 8th and love how science cirricuclum grows more in depth each year while also reviewing the basic concepts year after year. This allows children to deepen their understanding and devolop the ability to think scientifically about the world around them. I stress to my students that everything around us is related to science. From analyzing to prediciting, the skills learned in science class are important throughout life.
