Policies and Procedures

    • CONTACTING US

      You are welcome to contact us at any time, but please do so via our school email or by calling us at school. If you prefer to make a phone call, we appreciate you do so during our planning time that is from 1:50-2:35 or after school between 3:30- 4:30. 

      Parent-Teacher Conferences

      We encourage our parents to feel free to contact us to schedule a conference at any time, but these need to be scheduled in advance. You can ask for a conference by sending us an email. At this time all conferences will be held via Google Meet.  

      POLICIES FOR REMOTE LEARNING:

      Attendance

      • Your child must join their live virtual class sessions on time. Please know that tardies are very disruptive and affect your child's learning, so we appreciate these are kept at a minimum.

      Assignments

      Assigments will be posted in Seesaw or Flipgrid. It is expected that students complete their assignments in a reasonable time. Teacher will keep record of student involvement and participation. 

       POLICIES FOR IN-PERSON STUDENTS:

      Attendance

      • Tardy bell is at 8:20. Please know that tardies are very disruptive, so we appreciate these are kept at a minimum. If your child arrives to school late, you should report to the office to check-in your child and get a tardy slip. Instruction will begin at 8:20. 
      • If your child is tardy or absent, an excuse is required within 3 days of their absence or tardy. Excuses received after the 3rd day will not be considered and the absence/tardy of your child will remain UNEXCUSED in our records. 

      Transportation

      It is very important that you send a written letter or call school by 2:30 PM if the way your child goes home change, either temporarily or long term, to avoid confusions and ensure your child's safety. We cannot make transportation changes without notice. In the letter please include date, your child's name and your signature. 

      BEE Book

      This is our home-school communication tool. It is expected that parents check their child's BEE Book every night. Almost everyday important paperwork and communications are sent home.  

      Discipline Plan

      Parents will be notified of their child behavior daily. Please sign the behavior calendar every evening and keep it in your child's BEE Book. We kindly encourage parents to help us reinforce classroom/ school expectations at home. Click HERE to read more about our discipline plan.
