Hello Parents and Students!
I am excited to continue my counseling career here at Harnett Central Middle School. I graduated with my Masters in Mental Health Counseling/School Counseling in December of 2010 from C.W. Post, Long Island University. I then worked in different counseling capacities in NY before accepting my first full time position as a School Counselor in Mitchell County, NC. Following this, I worked for 5 years in Gaston County Schools. I enjoy guiding students through struggles and challenges ensuring they pursue their goals. I believe providing students with the best education possible by aiding students mentally, emotionally and academically are key to their development. Fun Facts About Me: I love the outdoor adventures, running, sports, eating sweets, serving others and actively participating at church. I believe every moment counts, use your words wisely, listen more than you speak and pray over everything!
During the first month of school I meet with each student to ask what topics they are interested in learning more about. Typically there is a high interest in learning about College and Goal Setting. I would love to hear from you as well. Please complete this survey to assist us with meeting the needs of our students at HCMS. Parents Needs Assessment

If your student chooses to set an appointment with me they can fill out our Student Contact Form.
Lastly, SafeSchools Alert is another avenue you can report bullying to our school. This is completely anonymous. We would always rather speak with you on the phone or face to face however if you feel more comfortable reporting anonymously please use this site. Thank you for being proactive and speaking up for our students here at HCMS.
