Hi, I'm Betty Stewart and I've been a teacher in various capacities for over 13 years.  This is my fourth year teaching 5th grade at South Harnett Elementary School.  I graduated from Campbell University with a BS in Elementary Education and have recently received my gifted education certification.  I have also enjoyed teaching English as a second language in Southeast Asia.  I am a follower of Jesus, I love reading historical fiction, playing frisbee, hiking, singing, and enjoying beautiful North Carolina from the mountains to the beaches with my husband Josh and our kindergarten son, Malcolm.  I aim to help my students work to their highest potential as they work in their strengths and push them to grow in new ways.  I'm looking forward to this year!
