• 3-5 Elementary
The goal of Harnett County Schools at the elementary level is to provide challenging, rigorous, and relevant instruction to all identified AIG students in grades 3-5 through a collaborative model. Once identified as AIG, students receive enhanced instruction within the regular classroom. Ideally, students are cluster-grouped with other AIG students at their grade level.
Students may receive enrichment through independent, small/large group, or technology activities. Various instructional practices and resources may be employed to differentiate the instruction for these students. Examples may include:
    • Independent/Group Projects
    • Academic Competitions (i.e. Battle of the Books, First Lego League Robotics, Science Olympiad)
    • Problem-solving Challenges (Math Superstars)
    • Technology Projects
    • Leadership Roles (i.e. The Leader in Me)
    • Young Authors
    • Service Projects
