My name is Mrs. Reese and I’m excited to be here, teaching First grade!!  I am originally from Harnett County; I graduated from Buies Creek and Harnett Central High School.  I attended Winston-Salem State University (WSSU), graduating in 1999.   I attended Baylor University for a master’s degree in Communication Sciences Disorder and worked in the schools as a speech therapist.  In 2011, I opened my own outpatient clinic-Who's Talking and Moving Now.  I also have a second master's degree in Education,  Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, graduating in 2011. I’m currently completing my Ed.D at Walden University for Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.  I've been married for 21 years to my husband who is now retired military (Army, 28 years); We also have two teenagers.

In 2014, we PCS to Vicenza, Italy and we enjoyed traveling within Italy and 25 + other countries  Since returning, I’ve had the pleasure to work as an EC teacher and teach 4th grade.  This will be my second year teaching 1st grade here at Harnett Primary and I’m excited to have students in the room this year!  I’ve always enjoyed working with younger ones while working as a Speech therapist; I believe my knowledge and experience as a Speech therapist combined with teaching first grade will be an awesome mix for students learning to read!

I enjoy spending time with my family, loving on our dog, Jack (Yorkie and Shih Tzu mix, which is known as a Shorkie), working in various community organizations including a volunteer organization I created for children living in shelters celebrating their birthdays and TRAVELING!!!
