Mrs. Lesley Hamby
Hello! My name is Lesley Hamby and I am the Success Coordinator here at Harnett Central High School.
I work in conjunction with the school’s guidance counselors to identify and assist students who express an interest in participating in one of our county’s alternative graduation programs. If a student does elect to enroll and participate in one of these programs I also monitor and track progress to ensure that students are successful. It is my goal to help students to be able to graduate, even if they have experienced a few “bumps in the road” along the traditional high school graduation path. Where there is a will, there is always a way – and I am here to help students ultimately find that way.
I have lived in Harnett County most all of my life. I graduated from Triton High School and went on to complete my bachelor degree through Campbell University and Fayetteville State University. My career in education began right here in Harnett County where I taught middle school math and science for 20 years before taking on a different role with the county. This is my 25 th year with Harnett County Schools and I truly love where I have been given the opportunity to serve. I recently remarried and together my husband and I have four children, Garrett (24), Carter (21), Logan (20), and Abbie (19). We also have a precious little miniature dachshund, Winston, that I simply adore. My hobbies include working in my yard, cooking, thrifting, and spending time at the beach.
Please reach out to me if you need assistance in reaching your graduation goal. I would love to discuss available options that our county has to offer and help you in any way that I can.
