• We want you and your students to have a great experience with Harnett County Schools. We offer academic tutoring. This is an after-school program. Each parent should have received an email in March. The form is Tutoring Form. This service is available on Tuesday and Thursdays. We provide a snack but no transportation at this time. 

    We also offer Peer Tutoring. This is an in-school service that provides one on one help in a variety of subjects.  Contact your students' teacher, myself or lprice@harnett.k12.nc.us for assistance with this service.

Mrs. Melanie Mitchell

Hello. Melanie Mitchell here. I am originally from West Virginia, but I have lived in North Carolina for 22 years. I have a Bachelor of Psychology and worked in the mental health field for 10 years. After moving to Harnett County, I started at Harnett County Schools as a Teachers' Assistant. I went back to school at ECU and completed my teaching degree. I taught Family and Consumer Sciences at Triton High School.  I started as a Special Populations Coordinator in October of 2021. This job allows me to be around my favorite people, students, while also helping meet the varied needs of students. I am here to assist students with any challenges they are facing. I want to provide support for their educational needs while providing any needed services to assist students in a successful life. I transition between Triton High School and Harnett Central High School. I keep a calendar by my door. At Triton, in Room 806, I have an office. At Harnett Central, I am in room 501 and share an office with Sara Williamson.
