  • Benefits to joining the swim team

    Health benefits of swimming

    Swimming keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the "impact stress" off your body.  Swimming builds endurance, muscle strength, and cardiovascular fitness. Swimming helps maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart and lungs, tones muscles, and builds strength.

    Athletic Participation Requirments

    You must complete all of these requirements before being able to condition.  Please login to the athletic page to complete your requirements.

    You must also have an up-to-date physical on file.  Physical

    Sports Physicals can be done May 26, 2022 at the HS

     

    Swim is a winter sport that starts around the first week of November and ends around the first week of March.  Swim is a sport that requires both individual participation and team participation.  In this sport, you can work on conditioning skills for fall, spring, and summer sports, and the skills and physical strength that you gain by being on the swim team only serve to make you a more well-rounded athlete. 

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

  • OHS SWIM TEAM

    Swimmers can compete individually and as relay teams. 

    They learn various swim strokes and consistantly work to better their lap completion times.  

    The competitions are seperated in Mens and Womens sections and both compete during the same season.

    Practices can vary based on Pool availability at Campbell University. 

    Meets are usually held in the Evenings and on Saturdays.
