Greetings! Welcome to Highland Middle School- home of the Vikings! I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. I will be teaching English Language Arts as well as Social Studies this year. In ELA we focus our studies on reading, writing and language. In Social Studies we will explore early people and ancient civilizations.

This is my fifteenth year teaching. My career began at Highland Elementary School with fourth graders. I have been here at HMS since the building opened its doors and I have taught in the 6th and 7th grades. When I am home, I enjoy time with my family. We like taking road trips, especially to the beach and we all love cooking! My husband is a real estate agent, my son is a 3rd grade Lego fanatic, my daughter loves playing make believe and is loving Kindergarten this year. We have a tuxedo cat named Bella who is twelve years old.

I am so thrilled about the learning that will take place in our classroom this year!
