• Hi! I'm Julie Mesaros and this is my seventh year as a math teacher, however have been teaching, tutoring, or instructing in various grades for 10 years, most of which were right here in Harnett County.  I coach the HMS Volleyball team and Assistant Coach the Girls Soccer Team. My family and I moved back to North Carolina in the Spring of 2016 from New Mexico, where we had lived for almost 3 years.  I am very excited to be teaching 8th-grade math at Highland Middle School for my fifth year. My family consists of my loving husband(of 20+years), two children(one attending OHS and the other is enlisted in the US Coast Guard), and two French Bulldogs. I served active duty Air Force from 1996-2000 as a C-130 Loadmaster. I was stationed in Japan and Texas during that time. I'm originally from OH, but I turned in my "Northern Card" several years ago and can no longer truly be considered a Yankee(I no longer put sugar in my grits).
