My name is Kathleen Rutan. My family and I have been in this area since 2012. Since then, we have been enjoying what North Carolina has to offer. 

Over the course of my teaching career, I have worked with children from pre-k through high school, and I am looking forward to working with your children and you this year. Your children will be nurtured and loved as they grow and progress throughout the school year.   

I received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary and Special Education in Fall of 1994, and my Masters in Library Science from East Carolina University in the spring of 2021.
