I was born and raised in North Carolina, and I love the mountains and the beach in this wonderful state. I graduated from Campbell University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and I am also National Board Certified and Reading Recovery trained.

I began my teaching career as a first grade teacher in Harnett County and taught for eleven years. I was an Instructional Coach for six years at several schools within Harnett County. This is my second year as a Reading Recovery teacher at Anderson Creek Primary School.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my 7-year-old son. I also love crocheting and being outdoors.
