Welcome to Third Grade!!  

Here's a little about me...

This will be my seventh year teaching (all as a Benhaven Bulldog).  I am married and have four children and two crazy dogs.  I was born and raised in Virginia, but the military brought us to North Carolina 17 years ago and we never left.  I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl.  I stayed at home with all of my kids until they started school and then I started teaching at Benhaven.  I started out at Benhaven as a kindergarten teacher and then moved to third grade and have been here ever since.  I love third grade because students are just starting to really mature and yet still have such a love of learning.  I love engaging my students through games and collaborative activities and really try to incorporate a lot of fun into third grade learning.  

When I'm not at school...

I love to curl up with a good book, bake, travel with my family (we love Lake Gaston and the mountains), watch movies or go camping.
