1st Grade Teacher

I am Felicia Smith Reaves; a 1st grade teacher with 24 years of experience. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I began my passion of working with children in 1996 as a teaching assistant and returned to school to obtain my teaching credentials at Fayetteville State University and again to obtain my Masters degree in Elementary Education in 2011 from Grand Canyon University. I am a highly qualified educator in the state of North Carolina.  It has been an awesome ride and I truly love to teach. I am also a lifetime learner. I learn something every day from my students and I am in awe of the knowledge that they possess about so many things in life.

I am the mother of one son, Malcolm, who is now 27 years old.  I am the proud grandmother of Lenox Arthur Smith. He is now 2 years old.  They both bring great joy to my life every day! One of my favorite quotes is "In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can." I believe that for each of my students and I hope that you instill that same hope and belief in your child as well.
