Mr. Carlos Maldonado
4th Grade Teacher - Dual Language (Spanish)
I was born and raised in Honduras. Two years ago I lived in the capital city of Tegucigalpa with my two sisters Angela and Zully before moving to North Carolina. I am single and I still do not have my own family. I love cats very much! In my country my sisters and I have fourteen cats, most of them have been rescued from the streets. I like to watch the Star Wars movies and collect stuff of the saga. Also, I enjoy to watch soccer games, eat Honduran food, the color blue, read educational articles, cook, and go to church.
I have been a teacher for 19 years on different grade levels. In Honduras I taught two years in first grade, five in third grade, four in fourth grade, four in sixth grade, and three in high school. This will be my third-year in the Dual Immersion program teaching at Coats Elementary. The two previous years I worked as the co-teacher in Kindergarten. For this thirid year I will be teaching Fourth Grade.
I am very happy and excited to be your child’s Spanish teacher for this new school year. We are going to face some challenges, but if we work as a team, we will succeed in making your children learn the best way. I cannot wait to meet your child and help in everything within my possibilities.
