Carmen Rosado

4th Grade Teacher - Dual Language (Spanish)

Hi! My name is Mrs. Carmen Rosado. I am very excited to be your child’s Spanish Dual Language 4th Grade Teacher. It is going to be a fun year full of new experiences and adventures for everyone.

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I have been married to my husband Marcos for 29 years! I have four children. Marcos Jr. is 1st year Surgical Resident at Beaumont Hospital in MI, Adriana just graduated with a Doctor in Physical Therapy degree from Campbell University, Gabriela is a senior at Campbell University majoring in Graphic Design, and Carolina is a sophomore at Campbell University majoring in Psychology. I also have a grandson, Marquis; he is a 5th grader at Coats Elementary.

I graduated from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Science Campus with a Bachelor in Science in Physical Therapy. Then I went to Campbell University and completed my K-6 Elementary Education degree. I taught ESL to Kindergarten, 3rd,  4th,  and 5th graders at Coats Elementary for 4 years. I was Coats Elementary Teacher of the year during the 2004-2005 school year. Then I worked for 2 years as an ESL Lead Teacher for Harnett County Schools. I took a personal leave of absence for 3 years and came back as the Parent Facilitator/ translator. Now I am excited to be back in the classroom and to have the opportunity to teach your child!
