Reading Recovery Teacher
My name is Shannon Lawson, and I am a Reading Recovery teacher. I live 3 miles from the school with my four kids, Xavier, Alysse, Raymond, and Leah. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Master's Degree in Reading K-12 at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. This is my 17th year teaching in Harnett County. I spent my first 7 years teaching Kindergarten and this is my 10th year teaching Reading Recovery. When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors. I love teaching Reading Recovery because I love watching my students learn and grow in both reading and writing!
