Mrs. Jamie P. Morrison

3-5 School Counselor

This year is my 21st year as an elementary school counselor, and I LOVE my job so much.  I learn something new from my students every single day.

I am available to talk with students in a confidential counseling setting as a part of the services our school provides.  I also enjoy helping parents and community members as needed.  Mostly, I will see our students during the "Guidance" enhancement time, and we will dive into positive character traits, social-emotional learning, and ways to be successful in school and in life!

During May Guidance classes, we are focusing on the character trait of the month, DETERMINATION!  We will discuss how showing determination and working hard will lead to success and the career of their choice one day.  It's fun to talk with students about their futures and what they want to be and do when they grow up.  With determination, they will be able to reach their goals and fulfill their dreams.  What a great way to close out our school year. . .by thinking about the future! :)

5th grade classes will also be preparing for their transition to middle school.  During Guidance, all 5th grade classes will participate in a lesson about middle school life, and they will have the chance to talk and ask questions.  We will miss our 5th graders so much when they move on to CEMS!  We wish them the best! :)

Please let me know if you have concerns, and I will do my best to help.
