Mrs. Jamie P. Morrison

3-5 School Counselor

Wow, it has been great to have all of our students under our roof every day!  Seeing their shining faces makes each day joyful.  This year is my 21st year as an elementary school counselor, and I LOVE my job so much.  I learn something new from my students every single day.

I am available to talk with students in a confidential counseling setting as a part of the services our school provides.  I also enjoy helping parents and community members as needed.  Mostly, I will see our students during the "Guidance" enhancement time, and we will dive into positive character traits, social-emotional learning, and ways to be successful in school and in life!

Coming up in October is Bullying Prevention Month.  During Guidance classes, we will discuss ways to problem-solve when faced with challenges at school.  Always encourage your kids to talk about things that are bothering them.  Sometimes they hold it inside, and they struggle in silence.  Part of our lesson will be to inform them that they should tell someone if they are being bullied because adults want to help.  We also encourage students to stand up for one another in a peaceful way.  We all like to feel supported by classmates and adults in our lives.

Please let me know if you have concerns, and I will do my best to help.
