School Librarian Media Coordinator

My name is Renea Tharrington. Originally from Sampson County, I moved to Harnett County to attend Heritage Bible College in Dunn, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Religious Education Degree in 2015. In 2017, my husband and I were married. It was also in 2017 when I began working at Dunn Public Library and discovered that I was passionate about helping children develop a love for reading. I began my journey of pursuing my Master of Library and Information Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in the spring of 2019 and graduated in May 2021. When I am not in the media center, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I also enjoy reading picture books, juvenile fiction as well as young adult fiction. I am looking forward to working with your children in the media center and anticipate an exciting year.
