Reading Recovery Teacher

My name is Kellie Griffin, and I am a Reading Recovery teacher at Coats.  I was born and raised in Harnett County and this is my 27th year of teaching.  I taught 1st grade for 17 years, 3rd grade for 2 years, and this is my 7th year as a Reading Recovery teacher. I received my teaching degree from Campbell University.  My home is in Broadway where I live on the same farm I grew up on.  I live with my husband, Ricky and our son Nicholas who is 19 years old. Spending time at Holden Beach with my family and reading for fun are some of my favorite things to do.  Teaching reading has always been my passion, and teaching little ones to read is so rewarding to me.  My goal for all of my students is to be lifelong readers and writers!!
