Megan Cantrell

K-2 Life Skills Teacher

I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I volunteered with a local Miracle League team in high school.  I realized that I loved working with special needs children and knew I wanted to do this for my job one day! I went to Campbell University and graduated with a degree in special education and a double minor in music and the honors program.  I spent a summer in Costa Rica working with special needs children in a local school and I loved it! I have been teaching in Harnett County Schools since graduation. I have spent the last five years teaching at Harnett Primary and I am excited for my first year here at Coats Elementary. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and friends, volunteering at my church in the kids ministry and the music ministry, and going to hockey games with my family. In the summer I love to be outside, enjoy relaxing time in my hammock, and travel as much as I can!
