I am from Erwin, NC, and a graduate of Campbell University where I recieved my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education K-6.  I am a Reading Specialist K-12 and National Board Certified Teacher.  I also have an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Radiologic Technology.    

This year begins my 22nd year teaching.  I taught first grade for six exciting years, then shifted to help first graders in Reading Recovery for 16 years.  I have had the pleasure of teaching second and third grade students in small literacy groups.  I am a mentor to beginning teachers, too.  I love teaching and helping others succeed!

My husband and I have been married for 36 wonderful years!  We have two grown sons, a daughter-in-love, a mini-Schnauzer, and a Calico cat.  I love going to the beach, kayaking, gardening, painting, and playing the piano at church.
