My name is Jamie Johnson.  This will be my ninth year teaching, and all of those wonderful years at Lafayette.  I taught third grade for 5 years, then took a giant leap to fourth grade.   I love teaching and getting to know my students each year and watching them grow.   I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in elementary education, with a concentration in child development and reading from East Carolina University.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.  I do not have kids, but I have my sweet Doodle bug (Dolly), who is like my child.  I grew up in this community and moved back here after my brief stay in Greenville, while enjoying getting my degree.  My life motto, that I learned growing up from my dearly missed, Aunt Nell, which is "to be kind".  

I look forward to another exciting (and flexible) year with my wonderful team members, administrators, and seeing my kids sweet smiling faces every day!
