Welcome to Our Class!

Dear Parents,

Welcome to our First Grade Classroom!  We are looking forward to working with you and your child during this school year.  First Grade is an exciting and important year for all of us.

We would first like to introduce ourselves…

Caroline Arthur is in her twentieth year of teaching.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  A North Carolina Native, she enjoys visiting the mountains and our coast. Among sports, her favorites are Tarheel basketball and football.  Mrs. Arthur enjoys spending time with her family, including husband Aaron, daughter, Hannah, son, Nathan, and dog, Marshall.

Sharon Jenkins is also a North Carolina Native. This is her sixteenth year with Harnett County Schools. She has an Associate Degree in Early Childhood. 

We are confident that this year will be a successful and memorable one for you and your child.  In the classroom, we will be exploring, problem solving, and working cooperatively to complete tasks.  At the same time and most importantly, we will be learning. We’ll be learning about reading, math, social studies, science, writing, and ourselves.
