Mrs. Garner is the Director of Bands for Overhills High School.
Garner received her degree from UNCP. She served as drum major for Spirit of the Carolina's Marching Band. Additional ensembles included: Wind Ensemble, Flute Choir, Global Rhythm Ensemble, Woodwind Quintet, Pep Band, and University Chorale.
She served in the Marines as a Marine Musician. She continues her military music passion in the Band of America's Few performing throughout the United States and Canada.
In her spare time she loves work with other marching band programs as an instructor and judges at competitions. She is a flutist in the Campbell University Wind Symphony.
Mrs. Garner is a member of the National Association for Music Education and the Southeastern District Band Directors Association.
