I have happily served Harnett County as the 2020-2021 County Teacher of the Year. With that comes some exciting opportunities to grow as an educator and help my students the best I can to become more efficient movers. I am so excited to continue to bring energy and passion to Boone Trail Elementary this year. I am starting my 14th year of teaching. I have taught 6 years at High School, 1 in middle , and 7 in elementary school.  I attended Methodist University and played soccer during my time there.  While at Western I was the soccer coach and Assistant Athletic Director.  

My Family is very important to me.  My husband and I have a daughter who is full of energy and loves to laugh just like her mom!  We have a small farm with pigs and chickens that we love to tend to every day. 

I have a very simple teaching philosophy.  All students can learn.  All students can do THEIR best.  Like I have told many others my teaching is very unorthodox to a typical PE teacher.  I could care less how athletic you are or if you can not do a pull up, push up or even run a mile.  What I want and expect from your student will be THEIR BEST. Students are individuals and will be treated as such.  I am very disciplined in my classroom with safety and students being my number one concern.  This school year we will be working on movement concepts, motor skills, healthful living and personal responsiblilty. 

I am looking forward to a wonderful year hear at Boone Trail and can not wait to see all the Pioneers in the gym! Be ready with your tennis shoes on!
