Mrs. Bowen
#PowerThrough
#TogetherWeAre1
My name is Fay Bowen. I was born and raised right here in Harnett County and was educated in the same school system that your child is attending now! I graduated from Harnett Central High School in 1986, and continued my education at Campbell University. I took a "gap year(s)" during which time I married and started my family. My husband and I have three children and 4 beautiful granddaughters. Our children range in age from 15 to 30, giving me a lot of personal experience in all age groups! In 2003, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Shaw University in Raleigh, NC and began my career in the field that was my lifelong dream . . . education! I previously taught 7th grade English Language Arts here in Harnett County, so I am not new to the field! I have been teaching here at LSES since 2015.
It is my desire to see each of my students grow and reach new levels that they never dreamed possible. I will push each student to strive for something that he/she feels is just out of reach, so that when they do master it, they know next time that they CAN DO IT! My long time motto in life is "Together we are ONE" and I feel that in the classroom, the environment should be exactly that; however, this year, I am adding #POWERTHROUGH as a motto for my life, that I am carrying forward to my classroom. A classroom dynamic of teamwork and comradery with a determined mindset that we can do it...no matter how difficult the situation, we just have to POWER THROUGH.
