I was born in Boone, NC, and went through Watauga County Schools. 

After high school, I attended Campbell University where I majored in elementary education. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2009 from Campbell. 
I returned to my hometown after graduation and received my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State in December of 2011. 

 

My entire full time of teaching has been here at LSES. I have taught both second and third grade. 

Prior to coming to Lillington-Shawtown, I substitute taught in Boone for three years. 

When I am not busy at school, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and visiting my family in Boone! 
I have one nephew who is in the Marine Corps. Semper Fi! I also have one niece. I love spending time with both of them! 

I also love to travel, especially to visit family and to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee!
