Ms. Marie Potter

I was born in Boone, NC, and went through Watauga County Schools.  I graduated with honors from Watauga High School. Go Pioneers!

After high school, I attended Campbell University where I majored in elementary education. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2009 from Campbell.
I returned to my hometown after graduation and received my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State in December of 2011.

This is my ninth year of teaching and my ninth year at Lillington-Shawtown. I have taught both second and third grade; the majority of my time here has been teaching third grade.
Prior to coming to Lillington-Shawtown, I substitute taught in Boone for three years.

When I am not busy at school, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and visiting my family in Boone!
I have one nephew who is in the Marine Corps. Semper Fi! I also have a niece who is nine, and in third grade and I enjoy spending time with them!
I also love to travel, especially to visit family and to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee!
