Mrs. Tewanda Smith
I began working at Wayne Avenue School in 2005 as a substitute teacher. In 2007, I graduated from Fayetteville State University with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English and began teaching the same year.
I believe the influence of a teacher should stretch far and every effort must be made to reflect on not just what we teach but how we teach. Therefore, it is my goal to provide the same rewarding experiences that I was fortunate to have as a child.
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader”. - John Quincy Adams
"The beauty of life is to be outside the box, so that the box doesn't exist . . . To limit a human being to one mode of expression is really a crime". - Herbie Hancock
