Major (Ret) Steve L. Jones graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a Bachelors Degree  in Social Science-Education and a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling.  He was Distinguished Military Science Graduate and received his Commission in the United States Army Infantry.  He is an Airborne Ranger who commanded in the 82nd Airborne Division.   He has served in Italy, Germany and Korea.  Major Jones Jones, after retirement, received his Masters Degree in School Administration from North Carolina State University.  He has served as the Senior Army Instructor for 23 years.  Major Jones has served as the Assistant Principal at Triton HS several times and taught Driver Education.  He is married to the former Zelphia Hinnant of Greensboro.  They have three children and three grandchildren.
