Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Georgia Kate Edgerton

Hello! I am Ms. Edgerton and I am so excited to be your band teacher here at Triton High School.

I am originally from Johnston County and attended Corinth Holders High School. I was in the concert band, wind ensemble, jazz band, winter percussion ensemble, and marching band. As you can probably tell, music is something that has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I graduated Cum Laude from East Carolina University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. My main instrument is the clarinet which I still play from time to time. I participated in the ECU Symphonic Band and the Wind Ensemble. I usually played the B-flat clarinet, but I would often also play the E-flat clarinet for certain songs. I also was invited to play in Greenville's version of "The Nutcracker," playing B-flat, A, and bass clarinet. Additionally, I was a part of the ECU Marching Pirates all four years of college and was the head Drum Major. I also like to play the guitar, piano, mandolin, and I like to sing. I've always known that I have wanted to teach music because I love seeing students explore their talents and grow as musicians. Specifically, I love seeing students play instruments and become the great musicians that I know they are. The best part about teaching band is seeing and hearing students grow musically and helping them push themselves towards a goal that they are excited to achieve.
