Hello, my name is Amy Price and I am a 6th year kindergarten teacher at Highland Elementary. I have been with Harnett County Schools for thirteen years. I have served as a technology facilatator, a teacher assistant for 1st and 2nd grades, a teacher assistant in a BED classroom, and a bus driver for both elementary and high schools.
Before working for Harnett county, I worked as an Early Childcare Educator. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from UNC Greensboro and graduated with honors in 2016. I am married and have a BIG, blended family! We have a total of nine children between us, as well as six grandsons and one granddaughter. I have lived in Lillington, NC for about twenty-seven years. I was raised in Sanford, NC so I have family in Lee and Harnett counties.
Education is my passion and I knew at the age of seven that I wanted to be a teacher. It has been my life long goal/dream to become a teacher. I love to teach children and to see them grow and develop as they learn new things. To see life through the eyes of a child is a beautiful thing and it is different every day. I am so excited to teach kindergarten!
