I am very excited about beginning my 14th year of teaching at Highland Elementary. It is my privilege to have your child in the first grade this year. While this year may still look a little different and bring about challenges, I'm so excited about jumping back into a new school year!
Allow me to introduce myself to you. My name is Jennifer Breyer. I grew up in a small town in Ohio about twenty miles west of Cleveland. I attended Ashland University, obtaining my degree in Early Childhood Education with an added certificate as a K-12 reading tutor. I moved here twelve years ago to begin my teaching career. My husband and I have four children; ages 6 - 13yrs old. I enjoy baking, spending time with my family, traveling, reading, and teaching, of course.
I'm going to work hard to make this a great year. My goal is to help your child to achieve success in the first grade. In order to achieve this goal, my classroom will be a place where all students feel safe. I expect all of my students to follow all the school rules and complete their assignments. When rules are followed, the class can run smoothly and I can focus on making my lessons fun and educational.
