Elementary Education Degree - Campbell University
Hello! My name is Tynika Morrison. I am delighted to serve as this year’s Instructional Technology Facilitator. This is my third year in this position. I have been at Highland for 15 years. I have spent 10 years in Kindergarten and 2 years in First Grade while serving here. I would like to give you just a little background about myself. I was born and raised here in Harnett County and graduated from Western Harnett High School with Class of 1994. I graduated from Campbell University in Elementary Education and recently graduated from Gardner-Webb University in School Administration. I have a wonderful husband, 4 beautiful girls, two handsome grandsons, and a sweet granddaughter.
I have been in the Harnett County School System for a total of 24 years where I have served as a substitute teacher, teacher's assistant, and bus driver as well. I truly enjoy working with children. I am excited that I have the opportunity to work with the entire Highland student population. I get to see some of my former “babies” and form relationships with others.
I am excited about this school year and I look forward to working with your child as we explore the 21st Century Technological World. I expect great things and fun times through learning. I am a teacher who holds age-appropriate high expectations, for it is my strong belief that ALL children can learn NO MATTER their age if it's taught to them. This includes daily life skills such as responsibilities. The key to that is finding each child's learning style, connect and build relationships with them, and believe in them at all times!
This is going to be a SUPER year because we all are going to work towards a common goal and that is to give your child the chance to be the BEST they can be!
