Hello. I am Ms. Sierra. I am your English Language Learner teacher or ELL TEACHER at Anderson Creek Primary School (ACPS)

I was born in Colombia, South America and my native language is Spanish. I loved the English language from the first time I heard it when I was a little girl. I love learning English and sharing days with my students, exploring their new school life, as we journey learning a new language and a new culture.

I went to college in Medellin, Colombia, at the University of Antioquia. I have been a teacher for around 27 years. In the beginning, I was a classroom teacher, then I became an ELL teacher. I have lived in the U.S. for around 24 years. First I lived in California, then on the opposite side of the continent, North Carolina! 

I have a daughter in college in USC, Los Angeles, and a big family in Medellin, Colombia, a wonderful husband, and my best doggy friend, Arya.

I want to do the best I can for my students and support parents in this new chapter of their lives!
