Ms. Ruffier Mix

My name is Laurie Ruffier-Mix, and this will be my 17th year teaching at Boone Trail Elementary School.  I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade, as well as the English side of Dual Immersion in both First and Second Grades.  I graduated from Kent State University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. This year I will be teaching Exceptional Children CCR K-5.  I am looking forward to this exciting new adventure!!

I was born and raised in Sebring, Ohio, a small town in Northeast Ohio.  I have called North Carolina and Boone Trail Elementary my home since August 2006.

I have two children, Seth and Phoebe, and a fur-child, Montana Sky.  I enjoy learning about history and animals.  My first favorite place on Earth is anywhere my children are…. My second favorite place is Germany.  We have been to Munich and Triberg, and we can’t wait to go back!

I am a Make-A-Wish Eastern NC Volunteer.  Make-A-Wish is an organization I hold near and dear to my heart.
