Hello.
My name is Brian Graham and I wanted to welcome you to our website. Since joining the Buies Creek Elementary school family three years ago, we have done remarkable work instructionally in our classrooms and strengthened our relationships with our parents and community. Our school is in a continuous improvement process and we work on a daily basis to be better day by day, month to month and year to year. My simple goal will be to return Buies Creek Elementary to an “A” or “B” school performance grade status while exceeding growth in each content area and subgroup. I am devoted to our vision and mission and hope you will join us in the work we do as a true partner. Personally, this is my 22nd year as a School Principal and I am as excited to do the job as I was during my very first year as a Principal in Hoke County in the year 2000. I was an Elementary School Principal from 2000-2014 in Hoke and Harnett Counties. In Harnett County, in addition to Buies Creek, I served as Principal at Benhaven Elementary, South Harnett Elementary and, most recently, opened Highland Middle School in 2014. This will be my 32nd year as an educator. Please reach out to me anytime you need additional support or help. The easiest way to reach me is through my email at bgraham1@harnett.k12.nc.us. I am proud to serve the Buies Creek community and you can continue to expect great things from our staff and students during the 2021-2022 school year. Go Knights!

In my personal life I live with my wife and three sons on a beautiful lake in Harnett County where we have resided since 1995. Although I worked in Hoke county for 12 years our home and heart has always been in the Harnett County community. My wife has been an amazing teacher, instructional coach and is now a reading teacher; she is in her 33rd year as an educator. Our oldest son works in retail in Sanford, NC our middle son is a certified Athletic Trainer currently working at the Citadel in Charleston, SC. Our youngest son is a senior at Methodist University where he plays football for the Monarchs and is working toward his Bachelors Degree in Education. I am very pro3ud of all three young men. In addition to reading, my favorite thing to do is swim and float with my wife in our pretty lake and watch our son at Methodist and on the road play football! We have been married 33 years this past April and love the life and our family that we have created together.
