Hello!!  My name is Beth Stevens and I am a Reading Recovery teacher. I  started my journey in education 25 years ago. After graduating from East Carolina University, I began teaching first grade and then moved to third grade before beginning my training in Reading Recovery. Through my training, I have learned a tremendous amount about how to support children and implement strategic ways to help themselves in both reading and writing. Over the past 20 years in this program, it has been my pleasure to see students thrive in what they have learned and work with confidence in the regular classroom. I consider myself very fortunate to be part of the Reading Recovery team in Harnett County and here at Erwin Elementary at Gentry.
