Asst. Principal: Kelly Bancroft
My name is Kelly Bancroft and I am proud to serve as the Assistant Principal at WHMS. I have worked in Harnett County Schools since 2005, where I began teaching first grade at Boone Trail Elementary school. In 2015, I began as the Assistant Principal at Buies Creek Elementary School where I was able to support students and teachers and grow as an instructional school leader. I am excited to now be working at the middle school level.
In 2001, I graduated from Elmira College in Elmira, NY with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. In 2003, I earned my Masters degree in Education from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY. In 2005, my husband and I relocated to North Carolina to begin our life-long careers in education and after teaching for eight years I knew I was meant for a leadership role. At that point, I enrolled to earn a Masters degree in School Administration from Campbell University and graduated in December 2015.
My goal is to provide the best environment for students to learn and grow. I enjoy building relationships with teachers and staff, students and families, and our supportive community. I believe that if we work together we can reach common goals that will provide the best opportunities for student success.
I invite you to reach out to me at school by phone or email with any questions, comments or celebrations.
