Hi! Welcome to First Grade. My name is Andrea Cervenka. This is my 6^th year teaching 1^st grade, and my 2nd year at Benhaven. Previously, I taught 4 years of 1st grade at Anderson Creek Primary. I am very excited to be your child's teacher! I have a bachelor's in History and a master's in Elementary Education. I have been married to my best friend, John, for 25 years. He has recently retired from a 27-year Army career. His career has taken us to many wonderful places both in the United States and overseas! I have lived in 9 different states and 1 other country, Germany. I loved being a military wife! It has brought me to many new places and armed me with the knowledge of the joys and unique challenges that military families experience. We have 2 boys and two dogs; a beagle and a golden retriever. My oldest son lives in Texas and my youngest son is a senior at ECU. My family is my life! I love to spend time with them. We love to hike, kayak, and swim every chance we get.
