I grew up in a small town east of Lansing, Michigan called Haslett. I attended Michigan State University where I recieved my Bachelors in Education. I moved to North Carolina after college in 2002 and began teaching 5th and 3rd grade in Johnston County. In 2013 I moved to Harnett County Schools as an Instructional Coach. During my time as a coach I was trained as a Reading Recovery teacher and began the dual role of coaching and teaching Reading Recovery. Then, in the fall of 2017 I became a full time Reading Recovery Teacher at Harnett Primary School. I will begin my 19th year of teaching this fall!
I reside in Angier with my husband, daughter, son, and a very needy black lab named Goose.
