Hello Boone Trail Pioneers! My name is Angel Myatt and I am excited to begin my journey as principal at BTES. As the new principal and a former student and parent, I am eager to partner with all of you to do what is best for the Pioneer Community.

I am a long-time employee of Harnett County Schools with nineteen years of service in various educational roles. I started my career as a teacher assistant and bus driver, taught 2nd and 3rd grade and, in recent years, have served as an assistant principal. I have a Bachelors in Elementary Education, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and a Masters in School Administration. 

Quality instruction is at the core of everything that I believe about education. I understand the importance of promoting a collaborative learning environment with high expectations and positive relationships that support academic, social, and emotional growth. I look forward to working with the school community to ensure that the needs of every student are met this school year.
