Mrs. Kimberly Josey

Welcome!! My name is Kimberly Josey (Hall - in PowerSchool) and I have been teaching 7th Grade Math at Highland Middle School since the start of my career in 2018. I graduated from Campbell University in the spring of 2018 and decided to start my life here in North Carolina. I came to NC for college from the Eastern Shore of Maryland and I stayed due to enjoying my time student teaching at Highland and meeting my husband. I love the life that I have created here and a large part of that is my role as a teacher.

The mantra of my classroom is this "Your successes are yours, your failures are ours, and we'll figure them out together!" I believe that every child is capable of success and that success may look different for each child. What matters is that once they've reached that success is that they own it and know it is theirs. However, it is my job as their teacher to make sure they are picked up if they fail and learn from mistakes and challenges. I strive each year to foster this understanding in my classroom towards math and life.
