My name is Raquel Balaton Pacheco. I earned my Bachelor degree in Elementary Education at Baliuag University, Philippines from 1989-1994. I finished my Academic Requirements for Masters of Artrs in Elementary Education at Philippine Normal University. I am highly qualified in both elementary and middle school and received my Professional Educator's License here in North Carolina in 2018.

      My first teaching job was at St. Mary's College of Baliuag, Philippines, one of the most prestigious and the only accredited school in Bulacan. This is also the only existing Catholic schools in Bulacan, Philippines from 1994-2009. In addition, I was the Language Coordinator for 8 years and the Activity Coordinator for 3 years. My second teaching job was in Cambridge International School for Girls in Doha, Qatar from 2009-2014. My next job was in Baliwag North Central School, a public school in the Philippines where I taught for 2 and a half years.

      It was my dreamt to become a teacher. I love children and enjoy being of service to them. I used to be a full scholar when I was in college and I also been a working student. At a very young age, I already knew the importance of education in making this world a better place for the future generations. Teaching gives me a sense of fulfillment knowing that I am not only teaching the curriculum content but I also touch and make a difference in the lives of my students. As this is my teaching philosophy, students do not care about how much you know until they know how much you care.
