Ms. Vanessa Kokoszka

Experience:

This school year will be my 5th year teaching in Harnett County Schools. I started my first year at Benhaven Elementary school in 2018, where I taught 5th grade ELA, Math, Science, Health, and Social Studies. This school year I am excited to grow as an educator and person as I enter into my fifth year. I look forward to getting to know your student and build a positive relationship with them and their families.

About Me:

I grew up right here in the Benhaven community right down the road from the old Benhaven. I attended Benhaven my third through fifth grade school years. I then attended Western Harnett Middle School and I graduated from Western Harnett High School, top of my class in 2014. In May of 2018, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education K-6 with a concentration in reading from Fayetteville State University. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from my university. Through my time at FSU I also played on the Women's Softball team on scholarship. I also have a 5-year-old daughter who is the light of my entire world.

My Mission:

Teaching is an absolute passion of mine. I am so excited to work with you and your child this school year! It is going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures and I cannot wait to see what the year has in store for us. I am dedicated to helping my students grow and expand their knowledge beyond academics. I plan to equip my students with lifelong lessons they can learn and grow from. I want to be someone the students can come to and be able to depend on to help them with any of their endeavours.

A teacher plants the seeds of knowledge sprinkles them with love and patiently nurtures their growth to produce tomorrows dreams
