My name is Jettie McGraw and I wanted to take this time to welcome you and your child to this new academic year. I would like to take this opportunity to let you know a little about me, since we will be working so closely this school year as your child progresses through Fifth Grade.

I was born and raised in Delaware. I graduated from Smyrna High School in 2004, and went on to obtain my dual Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education from Grand Canyon University. I formally graduated from Grand Canyon in 2018. I am currently enrolled to obtain my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. 

Personally, I have been married for 17 years and my husband and I have 3 amazing children. Caleb is 16, driving and working. He will begin his Junior year of high school this fall. Chloe is 13 and is starting her Eighth grade year this fall. Colin is 8 and is in Third Grade Grade.  In my “free” time, I love reading books, traveling, and hiking. 

I feel privileged to have your child in my  class this year. I know that we will have a successful, exciting, and productive year. I look forward to contributing to your child’s academic progress.

Your child will find that I am tough, but fair. I have extremely high academic and behavioral expectations for my students. I expect EVERY student will learn to the best of his or her ability. It is my personal goal to help each student achieve more than they ever thought possible.
