I am Aesha Shabazz and elated to teach here at Lillington-Shawtown Elementary school.  I have worked with Exceptional Children since 1998 and as a licensed teacher since 2008, in my home state of Indiana. I completed both my undergradate and graduate programs at Indiana University, South Bend.  My family and I recently relocated to Harnett County last Summer, 2018.  I am committed to establishing and nurturing the authentic relationships with students and parents that lay the foundation for phenomenal academic and social growth and development.

I am the proud mother of many with my youngest two, Treasure Joi and Malachi Lennon Pierce, joining me here at Lillington-Shawtown. I love to cook, read, and travel with all destinations that are near the ocean being my preference.  In my free time, I enjoy researching the latest strategies, methods, materials and innovative approaches to working with all children, espcially those who are exceptional.

I aspire to further my training and eduction to better understand and educate exceptional children in all areas but with a concentration and focus on exceptionalites related to Autism and Trauma induced educational difficulties.
