Dr. Roghene Agas Coloma

Mabuhay!

I am Roghene Agas Coloma and I teach 7th Grade Math. This is my 3rd year teaching here in Harnett Central Middle School but it is already my 9th year practicing my teaching profession. I am very proud to say that I am from my beautiful country-Philippines.

I took up Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Mathematics. I graduated as Cum Laude. I earned my Master of Arts in Education degree in Saint Louis College, City of San Fernando, Philippines with Academic Distinction-Cum Laude. I have also obtained my Doctor of Philosophy in Development Education degree at Central Luzon State University, Distance, Open, and Transnational University, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. I passed my Licensure Examination for Teachers last September 26, 2013 with a rating of 86.80%.

I taught Year 10 and Year 11 Mathematics and Additional Mathematics in Regent International School, Kuantan, Pahang Malaysia. I was also the Deputy Principal for Academics of the said school. I also became the Exam Officer or the Exam Head of Center of the school. I was in-charged of all the external exams of the school like Checkpoint Exams and IGCSE Exams from exam preparation, invigilation to sending of exam papers to Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE).

I also had the opportunity to teach college students at Saint Louis College right after obtaining my bachelor’s degree. I taught Mathematics subjects such as Plane and Spherical Trigonometry, College Algebra, Fundamentals of Mathematics, Contemporary Mathematics, History of Mathematics, Geometry, Statistics and Probability, Calculus and Integral Calculus with good records and excellent performance.

I am really hoping that I will be able to help my students here in the United States of America by celebrating diversity and making Math easy and fun. I am looking foward to an exciting, fruitful and meaningful school year 2021-2022.
